National University of Civil Engineering donates 3 tons of rice to help disadvantaged circumstances affected by COVID-19 epidemic

On the morning of April 21st , 2020, National University of Civil Engineering (NUCE) donated 3 tons of rice to help the difficult circumstances affected by the COVID-19 epidemic through  People's Committee of  Dong Tam ward, Hai Ba Trung district,  Hanoi city. This amount is deducted from the fund "One - day salary" of the school officials.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Tung - Vice Rector of NUCE, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Ngoc Khoa - President of the Trade Union of NUCE, on behalf of the University's staff, donated 3 tons of rice to help the difficult circumstances due to influence of the COVID-19 epidemic through People's Committee of Dong Tam Ward, Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi City

Previously, on March 31st , 2020, the Trade Union of National University of Civil Engineering also temporarily deducted 150 million VND from the "One-day salary" fund of the school's officials to support the prevention and control of Covid-19 epidemic. The money has been transferred to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

This activity has a humanistic meaning that is true to the tradition of solidarity of the Vietnamese nation and it is the responsibility of each officer and employee of NUCE to the community and people of the country. Although the amount of money is not much, it shows the awareness and deep affection of each individual to join hands in action to repel the Covid-19 epidemic.
