MoU signing ceremony between the National University of Civil Engineering and Songo Institute of Polytechnics (Mozambique)

On Tuesday, December 19th 2017, an MoU signing ceremony between the National University of Civil Engineering (NUCE) and Songo Institute of Polytechnics from Mozambique took place at the NUCE.

Participants included, from Mozambique: Mr. Francisco Vieira – Rector of Songo Institute of Polytechnics and Mr. Sergio Cuamba – Representative of the Embassy of Mozambique in Vietnam along with leaders of departments from Songo Institute of Polytechnics.

From the NUCE: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Duy Hoa – Secretary of University Communist Party Committee, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Giang – Head of the Department of International Cooperation, Dr. Dang Thi Thanh Huyen – Vice Dean of the Faculty of International Education. 

At the ceremony, the leaders of the two institutions made a brief introduction of the establishment and development of the NUCE, as well as of Songo Institute of Polytechnics. The two parties reached an agreement and the first steps in the academic cooperation between the two institutions, including exchange of research outcomes, organization of conferences and short courses and other activities on the basis of mutual benefit.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Duy Hoa – Rector of the NUCE and Mr. Francisco Vieira – Rector of Songo Institute of Polytechnics (Mozambique) signed the MoU. This signing ceremony marked the first milestone in a long-term and fruitful cooperation between the NUCE and Songo Institutes of Polytechnics.
